Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

For this week’s photo challenge, I thought we would go “inside” a dust storm. These gems are fairly frequent here in Arizona, but the one we’ll be exploring today was particularly brutal. My friend and I decided to visit Four Corners (where AZ, NM, CO, and UT all meet), and ran into this storm along the way. It was exhausting to drive in (and partially on NM Hwy 666 no less!), but it was also beautiful in its own way. Enjoy!

You can see the cloud on the horizon

Beautiful in its own way

There was a brief moment where we thought this guy was real! Seems appropriate for the weather/wind that day.

Still on the Navajo reservation

Painfully windy (a little like being inside a very sandy oven)

    • Thanks! Even though we have sandstorms in Phoenix, they’re nothing like this one – or I imagine the ones in the UAE! Those seem like they would be much more intense. That said, I’ll take a major sandstorm over a hurricane (I used to live in Florida) any day πŸ™‚
