Weekly Photo Challenge: Eerie

This week’s photo challenge: Eerie. I’m not sure if these guys are eerie or just plain creepy, but here we go!

San Carlos Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona, Reflection

San Carlos Hotel Reflection

First up, view of downtown Phoenix through a window at the haunted San Carlos Hotel.  I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to go on a ghost tour of the San Carlos a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the hotel has discontinued the traditional tours citing fear of the bad reputation and excess traffic. I can understand, but I don’t think the lack of ghost tours is going to do away with the ghosts! There are some pretty famous ghosts here and there’s definitely a “vibe.”

Glencoe, Scotland

Teddy bear tree

Next up, random shot from the forests of Glencoe, Scotland. We stopped for a short hike into the woods to take pictures of the full moon. On the way back to the car, I walked by this guy. I almost had a panic attack!! Luckily I didn’t notice that it looks like blood on the tree until looking at the photos later. Here’s to hoping it’s just a trick of the light and not actual blood… I’m not sure what it was all about, but it certainly gave the whole stop a very eerie and unsettled feeling.
