Weekly Photo Challenge | Abandoned Mine

Did you know that Arizona has over 200 ghost towns?!! These “ghost towns” are mostly abandoned mining operations, which can make them particularly challenging to find if you don’t know where to look (not that I’ve spent half a day wandering around someone’s field or anything). All of the ghost towns I’ve visited or read about to date each have their own spooky story, guaranteed to make you think twice about hanging around after dark. Today’s photo challenge is, appropriately enough, abandoned. I thought that the Vulture Mine just outside of Wickenburg, AZ fit that bill quite nicely…

Have you ever visited a ghost town??

  10. Wow – over 200 ghost towns?? That’s a lot! Had not idea…. great photos!!! There is something so sinister yet intriguing about that rocking chair photo.
We chose a ghost town too for our weekly photo challenge – one in Turkey!
