Travel Tuesday: Love, Look, Live

Happy Tuesday everyone!!  This week’s Travel Tuesday is themed – fun, right? This week’s theme chosen by the lovely Bonnie is: Share three places…the place you have been that you have loved the most, the place you cannot wait to visit, and something about the place you live.

Scotland, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle

LOVE – Scotland

If you look around this blog much, you’ll soon learn just how much I love Scotland. It’s almost embarrassing really, but it’s the one place where I get the overwhelming feeling that I’m home, at peace. For someone with a serious case of wanderlust, that’s a pretty big deal!! One of my major life goals is to live there one day – part time or full time, whatever I can manage (smile).

Spain, Australia

LOOK – Spain/Australia

I gave up and settled for a tie on this one. These are at the top of my more practical “can’t wait to go there” list (as opposed to my dream travel destination list). I’ve been hearing so many good things about Spain lately! A good friend of mine went over for a couple of weeks a few months back and I must admit hearing about her trip helped push Spain up to the top of the list. From the food to the beaches to the history, I can’t wait to explore! Australia made the list for a couple of reasons: 1) it’s another continent off the list and 2) I’ve actually been seriously looking into the possibility of relocating there (yeah, you read that right, more later!). I’ve made some pretty flippant moves in the past, but I feel like this one is serious enough to want to do my research before jumping in. Ah old age…takes the spontaneity right out of ya!

Grand Canyon, Arizona, Sunset

LIVE – Arizona

I’m currently living in Phoenix, Arizona. When looking for a place to move after school, my criteria were something along the lines of warm climate + no bad weather. Check + check! Luckily for me, there are also all types of bonuses in living in Arizona. If I drive a couple of hours in any direction I can find a completely different landscape and sometimes a completely different climate. It really is a dream come true for anyone who enjoys sunshine and the great outdoors!

Where are your places in the world? Come join the fun with Bonnie, Tina, and Melanie!!

  1. I love Scotland too and also dream of going to Australia one day! We lived just outside of Madrid, Spain for a year and we just loved it! We were sad to leave! Such a beautiful place with wonderful people and culture!
