Weekly Photo Challenge: Lake Contrasts

Happy Friday everyone!! I normally try to appreciate every day instead of living for the weekend, but this is one of those weeks where I can’t help myself – I’m just especially happy to see Friday (smile). This week’s photo challenge is all about contrasts, and it seems like a perfect opportunity to share a few photos from my recent adventure to Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone itself is quite possibly one of the most contradictory landscapes I’ve yet to see. Everywhere you look there are contrasts – some immediately visible, and some bubbling just below the surface. I hope you enjoy these examples both taken at Yellowstone Lake.

This next one, in addition to some lovely contrasting colors, is a perfect example of the contrasts found within the park. The lake water is cold enough to cause hypothermia in minutes, the water coming from the geyser is hot enough to cause fatal burns in seconds.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

P.S.  Happy 200th post! Here’s to many more 🙂
