Be Thankful

thanksgiving, thankful quote

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I’m not gonna lie, this has been a much harder year than I anticipated. Just this last week both my grandfather and my cat were admitted to the hospital (not the same hospital mind you…). Both have been sent home but it’s touch and go. The similarities between the two worry me for some inexplicable reason, almost as if they’re tied together somehow. It doesn’t feel as though it bodes well.

Needless to say, when I first sat down to pull this post together I had some trouble finding a grateful attitude. Sometimes it’s hard to stop focusing on the negative in order to focus on the positive.  I usually feel silly when I first begin, but I find that I never feel worse for reflecting, with a grateful heart, on all the good things in this life. We all have something to be thankful for, be it small and seemingly insignificant or major and life-altering. We just have to remember to stop and acknowledge.

Whether you’re in the U.S. celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday or somewhere else in this world, may you have a genuinely wonderful day full of the positive things in life. And know that I am thankful for each and every one of you reading this post – you guys make such a difference 🙂

  1. I hope both your grandmother and your kitty are feeling better soon.

You are right, there are always some positive things to be grateful for even when we feel like everything is against us.

Today I am thankful for your gorgeous AZ weather. You were right when you said in an earlier post that this time of year is nice. I am loving AZ. Everything is so clean and well kept! Plus the landscapes and scenery…simply beautiful!

    • Thank you! Oxford (the cat) seems to be feeling better. I think he’s enjoying being babied, but he is a he 😉

I really am so glad the weather worked out for you guys while you were here. I was afraid for a minute that it might actually get cold, but it’s southern Arizona so… 🙂 Did you stay in the Phoenix area the whole week? Hope you had a safe trip back and a Happy Thanksgiving!
