I’m not gonna lie, this has been a much harder year than I anticipated. Just this last week both my grandfather and my cat were admitted to the hospital (not the same hospital mind you…). Both have been sent home but it’s touch and go. The similarities between the two worry me for some inexplicable reason, almost as if they’re tied together somehow. It doesn’t feel as though it bodes well.
Needless to say, when I first sat down to pull this post together I had some trouble finding a grateful attitude. Sometimes it’s hard to stop focusing on the negative in order to focus on the positive. I usually feel silly when I first begin, but I find that I never feel worse for reflecting, with a grateful heart, on all the good things in this life. We all have something to be thankful for, be it small and seemingly insignificant or major and life-altering. We just have to remember to stop and acknowledge.
Whether you’re in the U.S. celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday or somewhere else in this world, may you have a genuinely wonderful day full of the positive things in life. And know that I am thankful for each and every one of you reading this post – you guys make such a difference 🙂
