Weekly Photo Challenge: Desert Landscapes

camels in the Sahara Desert, Morocco

Mittens buttes, Monument Valley, Arizona

I love landscapes. I love to look at them, photograph them, explore them. One of these particular photos was taken with my DSLR, the other with my Panasonic (with a panoramic feature). Can you tell which is which? πŸ™‚

This week’s photo challenge is “landscape.”

Happy weekend everyone!!

    • Thank you!! It’s unexpected beauty I think. Even after all these years the landscape out here still catches me off guard sometimes and I can’t help but think how grateful I am to be able to see it πŸ™‚ I bet Chile is pretty awesome as well!

  1. Can’t tell the difference, but really like both of them!! I would say the first one is more clear, but I think that is because the sky is so bright and blue compared to the clouds in the other one πŸ™‚

    • Thanks! I’m so glad you enjoyed them πŸ™‚ The bottom one (Monument Valley) was taken on one of those incredibly rare cloudy, rainy days. Turns out all AZ needs to get rain is me planning a camping trip! Lol

  2. I can’t tell either but both photos have me wanting to jump into them and explore!
I was going to ask where the 2nd one was taken but Janet has helped with that. Definitely on my list of places to see in the US.
We’re hoping to take a trip back to AZ this fall so maybe I’ll get to see some more of the desert landscapes I loved so much on our last trip.
    Great pics!

    • Thanks! πŸ™‚ Ohh the fall is a great time to be out here – Oct/early Nov all the leaves change and the temps become tolerable again. Definitely a great time to visit! I’d recommend heading north; the border area (near Utah, etc.) is my favorite area by far.
